June Is Bustin' Out All Over!

It's a glorious day and I thought I would record a little Gardner's Journal  update as to what is blooming.
This climbing rose like's it's new position after being moved last fall.  I do move things around alot, kind of like moving the furniture.
My last peony to bloom.  I have a fond remembrance of these particular flowers.  They were given to us by a very sweet lady that Dennis put a roof on for.  I've always liked them where they were located.

You can tell by the flag there is a nice breeze blowing today.  Low humidity as well.  I'm loving it.  Perennials such as lenton rose, delphinium, hosta, hardy mums, phlox and tiger lily live amongst begonia, petunia, sweet allysum & dianthus annuals.
Coral bells, hosta and a miniature rose given to me as a Mother's Day gift by my son, John.  I love to see it come up every year.
As well as this Japanese Maple given to me as a Mother's Day gift.  It's looking really beautiful now and is about 7 or 8 years old.

A window box of petunias looks great on the out house we still keep on our property.  I use it to store my garden tools and supplies.

Here you are looking at a reflection of trees in a waterway beyond our lot.
It's usually very soothing to watch the ducks train their little ones or to watch the blue heron glide low across the water's surface.  He looks so prehistoric.

This is potted alysum with a center coleus.  I watched a huge yellow butterfly land on this several times this morning.

As well as a sweet hummingbird flying about.  So entertaining.

Lily's are blooming.
I love to bring my house plants outside during the summer.  They become so healthy by the time autumn arrives.
As I sit and enjoy the beauty of spring I think of  one of the great musicals of Rogers & Hammerstein's, June Is Bustin' Out All Over - 1956
or It Might As Well Be Spring - 1945

Enjoy this beautiful day, keep cool and stay safe.
love,
